I talked with Batu about this earlier this month and we want to sometime order some fiberglass poles for spears and reds and stuff.
Who would be interested in chipping in for part of the order so we can bring shipping down a bit, as ordering a lot is cheaper than order a few because of shipping.

it seems the magic number for bandshoppe poles is 10-20. If you get 10, the price is 14.80 a pole, if 20 people order, its 14.18....

If only they had ten foot poles, I would be much more inclined to jump in on the order.

If you're wanting 10' + for spears, you could attempt the take down method of construction. Involves epoxying nuts into the core and a piece of threaded rod. Not a good method for swung weapons, as a) it's metal in the striking portion of the core and B) epoxy is too brittle to hold.
