Does anyone have a sewing machine or one of those little hand-held stitchers I could borrow? My red is almost finished and just needs a cover. I already have all the materials measured and cut, I just need to sew it together. I'd do it by hand, but I absolutely suck at hand-stitching and don't really have the money to pay someone else to do it.
I'd like to get it finished by Saturday so I can finally use my beast of a sword and free up the Edhellen for someone else to use.

No I have ACCESS to a sewing machine, but it's my wife's and I'm not sure how I'd get it to you or.. If she'd let me borrow it.
Honestly, I hate sewing weapon covers. $4 gets you a 2-pack of spandex tights and they work juuuuust fine. Just as long as you don't mind the grey color.

I can't really help you out here, but anything other than a good cotton / cotton-poly blend fabric cover is just a temporary fix. Tights/hose covers last a few weeks, require several layers to really look like it has a cover, and just are generally a last minute fix.
If anyone was to have off-campus placement, I have an older Singer sewing machine in a table / stand that I picked up at a yard sale for someone who turned out didn't want it. I'd pass it off for my $20 back and can deliver it to you in Muncie. It works, just already have 3 good sewing machines, don't need 4 lol.

The tights I have been using only requires one of the leg pieces, not layers. I may have to find an example. They're almost like leggings.

I've heard there was a mythical version of tights that work 1000% superior to the low brand that I've encountered, maybe you've found them. No, seriously, I heard them talked about but never found them, thus they're mythical ;D. As for age, I have no idea. It was a $20 cabineted, functional, together sewing machine. Could pry turn on dollar on it if you tried, I've had it a year and need the garage room.

I might be interested in the machine if Aros doesn't want it. As long as it works I don't care how old it is. And if it's old enough to be antique, I can just put it in with my mom's collection [none of which are functional, hence my problem >.<].

Naw it ain't antique. It's electric motor, was made with the intention of electric motor, not a converted treadle.
