I figured I'd start up a separate thread for talking about stuff we what to try in practice and leave the times & locations one alone.
So Faruq, what kind of stuff are you thinking about?
I found another fun variant that we could try out. Something to mix it up a bit. This one involves zombies (OMG). One fighter begins as the zombie and is pitted against everyone else. When he is killed, the round resets. If he killed anyone, they are now also a zombie. Any wounds that were dealt (such as a limb loss) carry over to the next round (we could change that if we want). The fight continues until there is only 1 fighter left alive. This person then becomes the next initial zombie

We did a zombies game and a baby dragon game. And the dragon game was fun.
I'm thinking of military drills and tactics they used in medieval and early modern warfare. Archers, Spearmen, and Shield guys all circled up (archers in the center, spearmen in a circle around them, and shields in a larger circle around them) and everyone else attacks however they want. The circle must learn team cohesion to survive.

I'd like to see a battle involving different terrain... Kinda tired of open fields. Would like to see some woods.

Basically 3v1. One person is the "claws' and they use florentine. One person is the "tail" and they use red. One person is the "heart" and they sword and board. The person fighting the dragon uses whatever.
Rules are if the dragon loses the tail or claws the remainder has to pivot on the fallen's dead spot. If the heart is killed and the claws and tail are still good, doesn't matter. Heart is most important.

So for some reason I woke up this morning and thought of a game within the 1st 10 minutes of getting up so here is my idea Game Name: Master Shield Game Type: Timed Tug of War Game Objective: We all start with single blues( can be changed if no one likes it just thought it would give the game some challenge) and there is a shield of some sort in the middle of the field. One team then captures the shield and brings it back to a spot and then tries to hold it has long as possible. The team who holds it the longest wins. So what do you guys think?

I think we should test this at practice this Saturday. I like it!

I'm not sure how people would feel about this, but what if there was a game type where once you killed someone, you traded weapons with them. It would be a great way for everyone to better themselves in different weapon types.
The only snag I could see is people not wanting to share their own weapons, which is perfectly understandable.
Also, I'm not sure if this idea has already been tried out, but what about a sort of Juggernaut game? It would be 1 v. All, and the Juggernaut has twice the number of hits [e.g. 2 hits to body, 2 hits to leg, etc. to do damage] and does normal damage to enemies, regardless of armor or weapon type. Those trying to slay the juggernaut would only have one life.

Well there is a game that we play called Highlander where we switch weapons but its pain in the ass because once you kill a person you have to put your weapon on their shoulder and count to 5 i think but anyone can interrupt the count and then that person that was on the ground comes back to life. But if you do kill the person you take that persons weapons

What I was thinking is that just as soon as the kill is finalized, the two combatants trade weapons, and when the deceased spawns again, he uses the new weapon, just as their killer uses his. No touching of the shoulder or interrupts. It would flow more smoothly that way.
